First Dance DJs have been helping our clients enjoy the perfect reception since 1994. We understand that everyone's vision of the perfect party is different and would be delighted to work alongside you to make your dreams a reality.

Some of our clients like to work with us and plan every last detail from the evenings play list to how the venue is lit, whilst others just want to book good quality, professional, reliable entertainment.

Whatever your requirements, one thing that we always remember is that you are the star of the show, not us. Our job is that of a director, to facilitate the night, not to overpower you or your guests with what we want, or what we feel is the "best way" to do things.

The key to a successful Wedding Reception is planning, here are some of the things that we do to ensure your Reception is unique, fun and memorable:

Client Meeting

You will meet your photographer, visit your florist and sample your caterer's food, so why would you not want to meet the person to whom you will entrust a large part of your day (and it's success)?

We believe there are a number of benefits to be gained from getting together, including:

• Familiarity - do you really want the first time you meet your DJ to be when you are called together for your first dance?
  
• Reviewing any play list and planning the sequence of any special songs
• Discussing the evenings time line and how the styles of music will flow
  
• Looking at ways to ensure all of your guests are catered for and feel part of the celebrations
• If we meet you at your venue we can discuss options on how best to set up equipment, light the dancing area etc.
• Our DJs have a great deal of experience and can help you with important decisions

A meeting with your DJ is a recommended part of our service and if you agree we will allocate a 1 hour slot for this purpose. The meeting can be held at your home but we recommend that were possible the meeting takes place at your reception venue. If you do not wish to meet your DJ in advance we will discount our basic charge by £30. Please see our Quotation section for more information on our pricing.

Music Selection

The choice of music and style of presentation is the key to a successful party. When it comes to music selection we are happy to use our experience and judge the requirements of the audience and/or work with a play list.

To ensure our clients can easily communicate their music choices to us we provide access to our on line music planner were you can pick and choose your favourites and compile "Must Play" and just as importantly, "Do Not Play" lists.

We can also provide a unique login that can be provided to your guests so that they can access a different part  of the system and choose a pre defined amount of tracks that will be automatically added to your personal play list.

Not only are we passionate about the quality of performance but also place a great deal of importance on the presentation of our equipment and how we fit into the look and style of your reception venue or theme.

Modern equipment ensures we can deliver crystal clear audio and appropriate lighting in a much more compact, smart and discreet way than ever before. We invest heavily in professional equipment (not the cheap rubbish you find on eBay or in Maplins!) to ensure your guests enjoy high quality audio and the right amount of lighting to enhance the atmosphere without  deafening or blinding them.

We would much rather be asked to turn up a sound system 3 or 4 times than to be asked to  turn it down once!
