We do not offer packages or set options, we believe in finding out as much as possible about your plans and tailoring a custom made solution to match. This ensures you get exactly the right level of service and the best style of presentation to suit your requirements.Our charges start at £395 for any event but the total fee will depend on your own personal requirements and some of the factors we have outlined below.
Set Up, Start & Finish Times
Sounds simply really, what time do you want the DJ to set up, start playing and finish!
However there are a number of things to take into consideration here also. The venue will dictate to some degree what time your DJ will need to set up his equipment. Sometimes this will be prior to the Wedding Breakfast, other times it will be during a room turnaround and occasionally the DJ will be in a completely different room altogether.
We always recommend that you allow an hour for the DJ to get his equipment into the venue, set up and tested. If you want or need your DJ to set up earlier in the day he will happily do so, but as he must remain on site for insurance purposes this will cost more than if he didn't need to arrive until say 6PM.
There are a number of advantages in having your DJ set up early, especially if you would like background music during the Wedding Breakfast or to use radio microphones for speeches. If you are paying for your DJ to set up early there is usually no extra charge to have these services.
Number Of Guests
The number of guests at your reception will influence the amount of equipment required which may in turn affect our quotation. We usually carry a suitable amount of equipment to cater for up to 150 guests.
If you are having more than 150 guests then it is possible extra audio will be required over and above what we normally provide "as standard". We are able to source extra sound equipment for larger events through our PA Partner DragonSpirit and we will make all of the necessary arrangements directly on your behalf. All large sound systems are supplied at cost.
Venue Access & Location
Another factor that could affect our quotation is the distance the DJ must travel and/or the access arrangements at the venue. Our priority is to provide the right DJ for your requirements rather than the nearest and if this means they need to travel then they will, but this will be reflected in our quotation. If you would prefer just to have the nearest DJ please let us know.
We include the first 30 miles in our basic charge, so any distance over and above this will be charged on either a per mile or flat fee basis (depending on the DJ). All charges will be clearly outlined in your quotation.
Venues with poor access may also incur extra charges. An example of this would be where a function room is located on the first floor with no lift and some distance from where a DJ must unload his vehicle. This can add a significant amount of time to the set up and is also very physically demanding on the DJ. This will need to be factored into the quotation and more importantly the timings for your reception.
Thankfully, venue access is typically much better than it was and examples of where extra charges will be required are becoming less frequent.
