29th July 2008 - New "ProDub" License ObtainedFrom the 1st August 2008 a new "ProDub" licence is being introduced by the MCPS/PRS Alliance that anyone who copies music to use in a professional capacity (i.e. earn money using it) must have. DJs that use laptops/copied CD's that do not have a ProDub Licence face the risk of being turned away by a venue.
Whether or not we agree with the terms of the licence is irrelevant at this stage, what is important is that we do not jeopardise our clients events by not having it. Therefore we have invested in the licence and are one of only around 100 DJs in the UK to have done so.
For more information on the new ProDub license visit the MCPS/PRS Alliance website.
