Our ultimate goal is to provide high quality, reliable entertainment and to offer customer service and satisfaction that is second to none. We are passionate about mobile DJing and strive to improve the general public's poor perception of the stereotypical "cheesy mobile disco". 

We do everything possible to ensure our clients receive exactly the kind of event they  want and our flexibility, passion and attention to detail are some of the main reasons why we are so often referred to friends and family by previous clients.

The real world of the modern professional mobile DJ is probably quite different to what people may perceive and we take the obligations that surround offering a professional service very seriously.

For example:

• We are fully insured against Public Liability in the event of an accident (up to £10 Million)
• Our equipment is reguarly tested for safety and we have an annual Portable Appliance Test regime in place
• We are one of the few DJ companies to hold the ProDub Licence for digital DJs
  
• We continually invest in LED lighting technology to minimise our carbon footprint
• All of our DJs have AA/RAC cover and access to more than one vehicle
• Any event booked with us is covered by a written Contract of Service

The business itself is run by me, Steve Hoare (AKA DJ Steve James/Steve the DJ/Peter Griffin!), and that's me at the top on the right.

I have over 15 years experience in the entertainment industry and have worked hard for numerous corporate & private clients, played at 100's of different functions for many happy party goers and DJ'd events with audiences as intimate as 16 to as large as 2000+!

An early interest in music and radio lead to me being  offered the chance to DJ at a Wedding when only 16. This was an amazing opportunity and a very useful insight to the world of the mobile DJ and the complexity's of running a successful DJ business. The reception went very well and the mobile DJ bug had well and truly bitten!

Over the following years I've developed my skills as a party DJ and polished MC at a wide range of events for numerous private and corporate clients whilst also spending 5 years acting as the DJ/Announcer for the Guildford Flames Ice Hockey team. This involvement led to further work in TV and Radio.

My musical tastes are varied, although I do have a particular passion for Disco, 90's Dance, Soul & Motown!

Professional Affiliations

South Eastern Discotheque Association

Steve is a member of the South Eastern Discotheque Association or "SEDA" for short, and ensures that anyone working on our behalf adheres to their Code Of Conduct.

Based in South East England, SEDA was set up in 1974 to promote a professional approach to the art of the mobile DJ. SEDA welcomes all styles and types of DJ, including mobile, club, video, radio and even bedroom DJs. They offer support and training to the members as well as helping to promote each business in general. SEDA offer potential clients confidence that when you book a SEDA approved DJ, you are getting a quality professional with high standards.

In 2004, SEDA celebrated 30 years as the oldest mobile disco & DJ association in the United Kingdom. As in the first 30 years, SEDA will continue to actively improve the professional art of DJing in south east England proving that the quality and presentation of a SEDA DJ will always outshine the less reputable operator.

Wedding DJ Association

First Dance DJs are also members of the Wedding DJ Association and as a member agree to the Code Of Ethics.

When you book a member of the Wedding DJ Association you are assured of a professional service, both before and at the event.

Members take their profession and your entertainment seriously. They endeavour to do everything they can to ensure your reception is a success.To achieve this all members adopt the following:

• You will be contacted in advance of your wedding so that you can discuss, in detail, your plans and your ideas
• On the day of your wedding your DJ will arrive in plenty of time, will be dressed appropriately and will liaise with your event staff to ensure everything goes smoothly
• Your DJ will take into account your music preferences plus those of your guests. He/she will also use their experience to provide you with a memorable evening
• Your DJ will use professional grade equipment and also have appropriate back-up available.
  

Only those DJs who have the experience and ability to provide a professional service are invited to join the Wedding DJ Association. This allows you to book with confidence and to enjoy your evening, knowing that you have chosen a professional who will provide you with top class entertainment.

Areas Covered

Although our primary area of cover is Surrey our DJs attend events across the South East and we are happy to quote for parties held anywhere in Surrey as well as parts of Hampshire, West Sussex and Berkshire. We can also usually provide recommendations for suitable DJs covering Buckinghamshire, East Sussex & Kent. Essentially we can usually supply a quote as long as your venue is fairly easily accessible via our local motorway network including the M25, A3 and M3.
